To realise this home’s full potential, our designers created an innovative floor plan that opened up the home and made use of under-utilised areas.

Key to our success was relocating the existing kitchen away from where it overlooked the porch, so that it now overlooks the garden.

Next, the master bedroom was extended into an unused alfresco area. Adding a corridor and an ensuite bathroom increased privacy. If guests wanted to use this bathroom they no longer had to walk through the main bedroom first.

As the client sometimes works from home, the existing study was also enlarged.

Lots of large glass panel windows in the kitchen, living area and bedroom ensure a light airy feel, and French doors off the living area into the garden add another dimension of space.

The Master bedroom, kitchen and family room now all have views into the leafy courtyard, and the old single garage was extended to a double.
