Our designers overcame many challenges to make the clients’ dream of glorious views a reality.

This construction was difficult, mainly due to the vaulted ceilings in the original part of the home. Hence, a ‘multi level’ solution was employed, which worked exceptionally well.

The second storey features a fabulous balcony, which has unrestricted views over the water. The position of the balcony was carefully considered, as our designer was mindful that neighbours might also consider building their property up a level in the future.

Another challenge was the staircase. Originally the clients wanted it at the back of the house, but this meant walking the length of the house to use the stairs, and it would also look as though an extension had been added.

Eventually it was decided to take advantage of a storage space at the front of the house, and this is where the staircase was positioned. A feature high ceiling was added to the open living area upstairs to match the existing downstairs style, and like all excellent improvements, ours looks totally seamless.

This wonderful extension has added significant lifestyle advantages and value to the home.
